Ned
Farr

Ned Farr has been involved in film production for over 30 years, from pre-production storyboard artist to post-production editor, including a long stint as a gaffer on many commercials, music videos, and features. Somewhere in all that he formed a band.

Ned Farr went on to write and direct the feature films THE GYMNAST, which won 28 awards including 16 for best picture, and then A MARINE STORY, about the military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy, which won 20 film festival awards. Farr’s latest feature film THE AERIALIST, released in 2020...during the pandemic.

Since 2002 Ned has also been the Creative Director for P90X, which for a long time was the #1 fitness product in America. Aside from creating the brand identity, marketing, and music, his half hour informercials have consistently outperformed all others in the field, earning him a Telly award in 2009, and a Moxie award in 2010. His infomercial for P90X3, won the Moxie award for best infomercial in 2015, and he has directed more fitness content, including 30 DAY BREAKAWAY for Beachbody, NEXT LEVEL for Gaiam, and 4 WEEKS OF FOCUS for Openfit.

Ned’s screenplay COASTLINE finished in the top ten of Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope Screenwriting and his TV pilot TIN KICKERS won the IGA Fellowship Award and the Finish Line Script Competition, and has recently been optioned for production.

Accolades

THE GYMNAST delivers emotional intensity in tastefully spectacular wrappings.

A MARINE STORY does not go where you might think it will go because it’s so credibly written, acted, and directed. “Don’t ask, don’t tell”? How about “don’t miss this film.”
